Message: The Moment
"Live in the moment" ...
We often hear and read this brief wisdom. It is offered as a balm, a comfort, a path to peace and understanding of self.
I stand in awe when I have read the works of, or rarely, met a human being who is truly able to carry out this mindfulness as a way of life.
Although I deeply believe in its wisdom, I struggle and sometimes resist to practice.
The moment is all we have, with the past behind and the future unknown. Such common words, yet the essence of truth.
My self-taught surfing lessons began eight years ago... I will be a student the rest of my days on this planet.
