Ecstasy Redefined

Updated: Dec 11, 2023

Scripture: "Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote, he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him!"

Acts 17: 26-27 from The Message

Message: Ecstasy Redefined

Rev. Tom's sweet message brought to mind again the need - and the pleasure - of being present to experience God's grace. No phones, no distractions, no transactions to make.

A time to transcend day to day living.

The word "ecstasy" derives from the Greek "ekstasis", meaning to stand outside oneself. We can achieve this state in the covenant of community or in solitude.

A path to the Divine.

Step away and experience ecstasy!

“There is an ecstasy that marks the summit of life, and beyond which life cannot rise. And such is the paradox of living, this ecstasy comes when one is most alive, and it comes as a complete forgetfulness that one is alive."

Jack London, the Call of the Wild
